  • It seems like the OS is preventing SecuritySpy from writing to this location.

Assuming you have the "Desktop & Documents Folders" option enabled for iCloud drive, you should simply get SecuritySpy to put files into a folder within your Documents folder. These files will then appear across all your devices that are using iCloud Drive.

  • Thank you. Seems so elementary as explained. Working.

(Searched for "command line upload to iCloud" or some such and got several permutations on the reported file target. Which did work from the command line but not from SecuritySpy)

    Thanks again Ben.

  • Great to hear it's all working now!

  • Have always wondered about using iCloud Drive. I have held back on having enough not cloud storage but local drive storage since you really should have the allocated storage for SS plus normal operation. Secondly what the bandwidth resources are in use especially for Continous capture.

For Motion and images its probably a more ready solution

  • I agree that this is most appropriate for Motion Capture, where the Internet bandwidth is likely able to cope with the amount of data being generated. For continuous capture and/or lots of cameras, you'll need a fast Internet upload speed.
