Feature request - Archive after x days
I don't think this request is currently possible for users, but please let know if I have simply overlooked it somehow...
Would it be possible to add an option in the storage settings to 'Archive after x days'? you already have the option to delete after x days, which I am using, but would like to actually move the files to a second directory after x days rather than delete them completely

Sorry, this is not a feature. Fortunately, storage these days is cheap, so my suggestion would be to provide enough storage (usually in the form of an external SSD or HDD connected by USB or Thunderbolt) that is large enough to retain the duration of recording history you need. You can use our system requirements calculator to determine roughly how much storage is required.
I have both locally connected SSD and a mass storage raid array that uses spinning hard drives. I use the SSD for primary recording I would like to move my older recordings across to my raid array after x days .
My raid array cannot be reliably used as the primary recording location. I tried this but I got many errors due to disks not being responsive enough. its a really old array, perfect for bulk storage of static files but not good for working files.
I can do the move of files manually of course (as I do currently) or I guess I could create a script for it? I will look into this option I think
It will be a good idea to create a simple script to move all your Captured Files folder to the RAID array, and schedule it to run say every month or so. However the issue there is, when you use your app the day after the script has ran, you will not see your recordings listed. So you need a more clever script which moves only the older files but leaves the newer ones.
good point abid. I think I will set the securityspy settings to delete after 32 days and then create a monthly copy (rather than move) task to run on the 1st of month to copy the directory (and skip any files that all exist on the array). This is exactly the process I have now, but I am manually copying the files on the 1st of each month
