Please add support for Foscam Fi9826W
After perusing the forum I figured out by myself what it happens: the data stream(s) are apparently too much for the hardware (a Mac mini early 2009). After reducing the two cameras frame rate to 10 fps and the stream to 1MBps the green screens dis…

Please add support for Foscam Fi9826W
Hello Ben, I have another issue with the Foscams FI9826W, that bothers me since quite some time. From time to time the video streams breaks down in SecuritySpy, both on live images as well as on the recordings: a green background replaces the image…

Hi Ben, Our entries crossed. Yes, I reconfigured one Foscam as per your recommendations (RTSP port on 88) and it works too. Now I don't know what should I do: leave the Foscam H.264 profile or switch to ONVIF? What would you recommend? Thanks…

Please add support for Foscam Fi9826W
Reading your website I stumbled upon the ONVIF blog entry. Then I switched all my Foscams to ONVIF protocol and everything is now back to normal! Maybe a remark regarding these cameras in the release notes would help others after upgrading.

Hi Ben, Can you comment on the above? I just upgraded from version 3.4.7 to 3.4.8 and all my Foscam FI9826W cameras ceased to function. In 3.4.7 I had them configured as Foscam H.264 cameras and they worked very well. Now all is out and the entry &…

Thanks for the explanation regarding the presets. I was suspecting that there is no common standard in retrieving preset names. Anyway, increasing the number of presets in SS to something like 15 (or 16 as programmers like to do ;-) would be not bad…

In what deleting files concerns: the log file shows messages like "30-06-13 1157-41: Error deleting the file "19-06-2013 MD Garden.mov" 3.0.4,5121,-47 Cannot delete the file because it is busy". Maybe it helps.

I am still "sitting on the fence" if to buy the software or not. The fact is, there is no better solution for a Mac, however there are some things I am missing in the software (apart from this or other bugs, as described before -- finally …

Remote viewing apps for iOS
Thanks Rob for the clarifications. Regarding the inability to view captured material, this applies also when connecting to the SS Webserver from an iPad, no matter if over http or https. I suspect it's a problem of video format. I can't se…

Remote viewing apps for iOS
After reading this thread, I bought the LiveCams Pro app in the hope that I can use it with SecuritySpy to view my cameras and spare some money over the Remote Patrol in the process. Unfortunately, the app doesn't work over https, at least I di…

I am using SecuritySpy version 3.0.4 (still in the 30 days evaluation mode). The bug is in my case systematically reproducible. As a side effect, after the camera triggers on motion -- at least as shown on the Camera Status window, it remains there …

The Continuous capture was obviously turned off. Meanwhile I found the problem: If the parameter "pre-capture" time is set to 0 (null), then there will be no captures. Seems to me a bug (except if it's not a feature I don't unde…

After further testing, if I enable "Continuous/timelapse capture" I manage to capture video, but what I need is only when some motion os detected. So on one hand the software indicates that the motion detection operates properly (status=R-…
