I'm interested in using this software in my business, but leaving a user logged into a computer overnight for monitoring is itself a security risk.

Have you looked at building a launch daemon for the software that would allow it to run in the background while the computer is on, but not requiring a user to log in?

For various technical reasons it's not possible to make SecuritySpy into a daemon - see this FAQ for a good solution that does what you want using an a second background user account.
