AXIS P3367-V

The AXIS P3367-V camera supports multi-view streaming, where the full view and several areas cropped from the full view can be streamed simultaneously.
How does SecuritySpy handle the multi-views? Can they be viewed in separate/individual views in SP?

  • Hi Rex,

For the Axis profile, SecuritySpy allows you to select an "Input number" in the Video Device Settings window (1-8). For devices that have multiple physical inputs (e.g. network video servers), these input numbers correspond to the inputs on the device. For devices such as yours that supports multiple streams as you describe, these input numbers correspond to the different streams that can be set up in the camera.

So in order to set up two of the streams in SecuritySpy, create two separate network devices pointing to the same camera, each using a different input number.

Note that this setup will be counted as two separate cameras in SecuritySpy for licensing purposes.

    Hope this helps!
  • Many thanks, Ben.
Could you explain the expression "for licensing purposes," please?
  • Hi Rex - quite simply if you have a 4-camera SecuritySpy license, using two streams from the Axis device will use up two of those camera "slots", allowing you to use only two other cameras or streams for the other two slots of the 4-camera license.
  • I see. Thank you for the information and for your excellent software.
